Take the path straight forward for a quick scene. For this playthrough, we want Kratos to dislike Lloyd, so pick the first option, "What did you say?!" Inside the temple, Kratos will give Lloyd the Training Manual and join the party. In the following scenes, you'll get an affection dialogue prompt. Your maximum hit number is 10! Work with your friend and pummel the enemy! In this battle I gained a 10-hit combo, earning a title and a trophy! Whenever you unlock it, make sure to equip it to Lloyd right away. Use guard liberally and he'll go down fast. I like to use a Magic Lens on this guy at the start, and keep track of his HP as the fight goes on by holding. If you spent any time fighting on the world map, this becomes even easier. With this new guy, you can beat him handily even if you haven't done any combat outside of the tutorial battles and the fight against the Foot Soldiers. Survive for about 20 seconds and you'll get a brief scene. When you are ready, head up the stairs for a scene, and then a pair of battles. You can still leave the area at this point if you want to go and heal or level up. Choose "I'm going, too." for approval with Colette and Genis. MARTEL TEMPLE Monsters 7-11/257Įnter Martel Temple to get a scene, and you will get another dialogue choice. Try to get a Beast Hide to drop from the Rabbits here we'll need one later on. The monsters will also occasionally drop items, so I'll list the new ones here as well. It also can't hurt to let your characters level up once or twice out here, as we have a boss battle coming up very soon. There are some weak enemies on this path to fight if you want to get some early experience with the battle system. WORLD MAP Monsters 3-6/257įollow the path along to Martel Temple. You do not need to use a Magic Lens for any trophies. You can view all of this information later in the Monster List. This in-depth information is only available for one combat, and does not extend to other creatures in the same battle. This information can be viewed during battle by holding and selecting the enemy. Using one of these on an enemy in battle will show you their HP, TP, and if they have any elemental resistances or weaknesses. There is an item in your inventory called Magic Lens. Save again, and then leave town via the north exit to get into your first combats! Upstairs is Colette's room, and if you examine the bookcase in the corner you can learn more about the Cycle of Regeneration, and also that Raine is Genis' older sister. Frank sits at the table here and will fully heal the party for free if you need it. The only other building you can enter is on the east side of the town and is Colette's home. None of these items are missable, so you don't have to buy them now. You can also buy some optional ingredients for cooking if you're so inclined. There is a shop called Halo that you can visit that has a few useful items, like Apple Gels. You can explore the town, but most buildings are closed off, and the people will gently tell you to go out the north exit. If you've ever played an RPG before, you know what to do. This is a save point, and they should be used frequently. Before anything else, step on the glowing circle off to the right. You'll meet Colette's father, Frank, and hear about some commotion at the temple. Go into the Status menu and equip this to Colette. Before leaving, approach the Colette-shaped hole in the front of the classroom to unlock a new title for Colette. You'll get a quick explanation on skits and then your first one will pop up.
